ON THE BACK BURNER

I am going into a retrospective mode. While in Israel, my son in law had a family crises. It involved an unexpected death, decisions on burial, travel, religious services or not. These decisions are not lightly made and I've put off the conversation that I should have about my personal wishes. So this is why I am working on how and what I want done when the time comes to the question, what are we going to do about "Grandma"? It's not easy to make these plans. Do I want burial, cremation, where ,a party, sitting Shiva, who is going to cater, how many people might want to speak. What if no one does, too many do and people get antsy..What if there are no funny stories to tell. These are serious questions and when I am in the right frame of mind, I'll come back to them. I don't think that I am ready to have this conversation. Can we talk about something else?
