Today we sat on a bench for over an hour watching a traffic circle. The were no accidents, a few horns, but it was orderly and fascinating. We watched the buses, numbers 13,15, 17, and 77 come flying around the circle. We looked at the cars with "learner"
written in Hebrew make it around the circle. The sky was blue, the sun so warm that we just enjoyed the moment and sat. Sounds dull, but it really wasn't. People walked by us all of the time.It was a great mix for people watching. And we tried to read the signs
on the trucks. Coca Cola was easy. Some trucks had both Hebrew and English. A lot of Volvo's and Honda's. Absolutely no Cadillacs, Buick's or Ford's. A few Fiat's.Two VW's. One a vile green and another pink. I'm not sure what statement they wanted to make.
We figured out that it was garbage pick up day because all of those big containers were taking up a lot of side walk. Then walking home, we had to cross to the other side of the street to get to our place . Bob is still amazed that cars actually do stop for
pedestrians. We made it home in time for a nap. It was a busy morning.
