ON THE BACK BURNER

Before I forget ,there are a couple of things very different here in Israel. For one, we hang our clothes out to dry. It can be fun. You match socks. You decide which way is the best to hang a shirt so that it has a minimum of wrinkles and you then hope that the clothes rack doesn"t fall over and get your wet clothes dirty with the dust that blew in from the dessert. We sometimes hung our clothes out to dry at our cottage. We'd go to the nearest town,13 miles away, and throw our clothes in the laundromat and then take them home to hang and dry. We stopped doing that after we forgot the clothes and left the wet things in the car over night. They got that mildew smell and we had to go back to town and start over. It was not worth trying to save a few quarters . Another thing that has happened is that I am getting some ads on my iPad in Hebrew. Now that is different. The ads are the same ones that I get in English. Some times they come up in Hebrew and other times in English.I can sound out block letters, but my iPad thinks that I can read printing. I can't, unfortunately. Luckily, I didn't want what they are selling in English or in Hebrew.
