ON THE BACK BURNER

Well, they came. We have been waiting for it. Every morning we check our iPads for the prediction. Rain. Finally. Not living where rain is usually a given, this waiting has been different. Being such a small country, the agriculture culture and city life are very close to each other. Water is a commodity that we don't think so much about when you live blocks from the Gulf of Mexico. We have been fortunate that the rains held off for the first month of our visit. Now we will be a little more restricted in our outings. Cold and rain don't mix when you are as spoiled as we are with warm weather and predictable rains. In case you are reading this and you don't live in Florida, it rains at a certain time most afternoons during the rainy season. You work around the rain and it isn't even an inconvenience, unless you are planing an outdoor wedding.
