ON THE BACK BURNER

TOday was the day that we went to a lecture about the Wizard of OZ at the group that includes Americans and Canadians. I had been looking forward to doing this and we were not disappointed . First, because we are not members, we paid twenty shekels apiece. However, I only had one hundred shekel bills and They didn't have change yet. I was told that I could stay, pay when they had enough to make change, BUT, we couldn't have any cookies, until I paid. . Really, this happened. I was wearing a caplet that I had knitted and a women came up to me saying that she loved it and could I knit one for her. We exchanged cards and when I get home, I'll knit one for her and send it to her daughter in the states , who will bring it the next time that she visits. I'm in business now. I was also stopped at the food court later and asked about this caplet. The program was very good and as in all groups, there is one person who always has to say something from the floor. It happens every where, it seems. For lunch we went across the street to the mall and had a great big juicy hamburger with french fries and a Coke. We licked the wrapper. And there is a story here too. While waiting in the food court for our hamburgers, Bob sat at a table , waiting. A guy came up to him and said that he can't sit there because that particular seat is for the food stand next to the hamburger stand. So we moved a table away. Only in Israel. Oh yes,It was a good day.
