Hurrah! The turkey fit in the oven, the xpats came on time, the gravy was perfect and we all had reason to be thankful.I just realized that I didn't leave the house at all. All of the excitement was inside,reading emails from kids and grandchildren.
This was excitement enough for me. Today is business as usual, preparing for Shabbat with another full table. Here is where left over turkey makes meal planning easy. The sky is blue, the wind is whipping dust all over everything, and it is dry cold. Bob will
wear an undershirt, a shirt, a sweater, a sport jacket and if he goes out of the house, a winter jacket.He may even wear the winter jacket in the house. And don't forget the red knit hat. Maybe not in the house, though.
