ON THE BACK BURNER

So cool. My daughter and I were walking to do some errands and passed a bench. On it were a pile of ladies clothes. That's how they recycle here. We looked through the pile, took 3 skirts, put them in my back pack and kept going to do the errands. That is Jerusalem's answer to Good Will. If we don't like the clothes after we wash them( and they were freshly cleaned on the bench ) we'll put them back on the bench that is across the street from my daughters. After a walk very uphill, we came to the first stop. Coffee and strudel. I made the mistake of asking for a large. That means, I found out, the same amount of coffee but more milk. We use to give our kids coffee like this. The strudel was good. Also a generous piece. Then the grocery store. I kept saying," that's so cute."Garlic peeled and individually packaged in little containers, also parsley, chopped and ready to use in individual packs. So cute. The spices were what they use here. Cumin,Za'atar, prepackaged kebob spices and shachsukah spices. There was paprika, smoked paprika, sweet paprika and paprika in oil. No shortage of paprika.Just like in America, we spent $30.00 And had little to show for it.
