I can hardly stand it. The Cubs won the fifth game. Now I have to wait until Tuesday night to watch game six. if they win, they have one more game before they win the pennant. To Chicagoans, that will put the act on par with world peace, . Then to top
it ,The Bears are played last night. And I see that the Bulls play in a few days. How to make a Chicagoan happy, just put their teams on TV and then, let them win. I've mentioned before how we lived just blocks from Wrigley Field and would just walk over for
their day games. We never went to a night game. That was one of the endearing things about the Cubs. At the time we were there, they only played day games. If your kid skipped school to go to the game, you didn't know because they would be home in time for
dinner. And you wouldn't find out until later that they were not in class. When we took our youngest to his first game and he held his little league baseball hat next to his heart when they played the National Anthem, I cried.I think that hat is somewhere still
around in our family. It didn't make the cut when we downsized. The memory is too precious.
