You ever have a day when everything is a tad off. That was yesterday.Today, everything was smooth. Maybe because I made chicken soup. That's the elixir of the Jewish soul. My freezer has a big empty space where the chicken parts I was saving had been.
Just making the soup put my day in order. All of the familiar ingredients go into the pot. I was creative. I added a bulb of garlic to the pot. But that's it for change. Change is not good when chicken soup is involved. The day went smoothly. I practiced my
violin, long over due for this. Then at Shabbat services our previous Rabbi with the entire family came to services. The hurricane on the East coast of Florida, sent them to us. What a treat to see Avi,now a grown up four year old, and his Grandparents. It
added that hamosh feeling to our Shabbat. All because of the chicken soup.
