I'm going to return my big, fat blue cello to my violin teacher. I need the space. It's like having a third person in our condo. I didn't play it enough to give up space to continue keeping it. And it was too big for me. That is the main issue. I would
need a smaller child's size cello if I meant to be serious about learning. I love the sound the cello makes. My violin can be squeaky. I think that is the complaint most heard about beginner player. But this cello is always mellow and deep. People find that
a comforting sound, I think. Also dramatic. I think I am talking myself into keeping it. But it isn't good for it to be here. It needs some friends. At my violin teachers studio, it can have other instruments to hang with. I think it is a sociable instrument.
Being blue just calls for attention. You don't walk into my second bedroom and not notice it. Usually people will say, "Boy, that sure is blue". "And big".You betcha it is. It is not a shrinking violet.Maybe it has a kid sister I could borrow.
