ON THE BACK BURNER

Last night was "Girls Night Out" . We behaved ourselves . We also spent time checking out the other diners. The couple nearest us, who appeared to be in our age group, were busy chatting and completely focused on their conversation. We decided that although she had a wedding band on, they were not married. At least to each other. He had no ring. I suggested that they might be siblings, but no one else thought so. Then we watched another couple ,who sat next to each other, looking out into the dining room. They didn't talk to each other, but just ate. We decided that they were married to each other. At least they weren't texting at the table. THe best part of the evening for me is that I got to sit in the back seat and look out of the window. How little it takes to make me happy.
