ON THE BACK BURNER

Labor Day, already. It was just Memorial Day,it was just the fourth of July,Mother's Day, Father's Day. Where do these days go that they pass so quickly. That's one neat thing about being retired. The days go by,fast. I hardly have time to schedule in my nap time. I'd like some of these days back. Especially the good ones. The ones with the memories spent with my kids. I stay basically the same, but they make all of the memories. At labor day, I remember the kid who was the one who jumped into our lake to pull the anchor up from our raft. Which brings another memory of why no one else wanted to do it. The season knew it was ending and that Labor day was most often raining, cold and sad. End of another great summer at Sandlake and not even the weather wanted that time to end.
