It was wonderful to have friends write and tell me of the famous people they have met in their lives. Who they met seems to go along with their interests. Sitting here this morning, I remembered a few more people .Once I met Emeril Lagasse at his restaurant.
I was with a chef friend who had won "New Chef of the Year in the Mid west". That's another story! We were a few woman from Chicago who met when we formed an investment club. We were on an eating binge in New Orleans.Emeril was almost reverent to our chef
friend. We had so many dishes compt to us that I can't even remember what.It was all good and we decided that traveling with a chef was the way to go. Bob was a neighbor of George Segal's in Great Neck. I give him a few points for that one. George "entertained"
at Bob's sisters 6th birthday and if I am not mistaken , threw a pie that missed it's mark. Family story here. Bob's mailman was the character used for the Dagwood comic strip. That's impressive. Our mail carrier was a character ,too. She refused to deliver
mail if you didn't shovel your side walk and steps. Her Mamma didn't raise no fool. She also had a summer cottage one Cub's ball game away. She could turn on the car radio in the first inning and be at her place by the last inning. I don't know how she handled
extra innings.Which reminds me of a funny story. But that's another time.It was wonderful to have friends write and tell me of the famous people they have met in their lives. Who they met seems to go along with their interests. Sitting here this morning, I
