ON THE BACK BURNER

My violin teacher is in Vegas. I have heard that everyone should go to Vegas at least once. Since I am much older than my teacher and feel obligated to give her advice, I told her to go along with the ad that says"what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas". I love that statement. Just think of all the craziness that you can do .I really like these ad agency slogans. Think of the craziness that you can have. You have permission to be indulgent. My all time favorite is the Nike ad,"Yes you can". Yep, I can. Not only can I, I have. Some times not so gracefully, but I did try. Then how about "Just say No". That doesn't belong to Nancy Reagan. I should have said no to many things, but I'm glad that I didn't. My second favorite Nike ad is one I don't see any more."You don't know if you don't go." I practice that a lot. That one is like when you tried to get your kid to eat something for the first time and you keep saying "You haven't tried it, how do you know you don't like it". Those ad men know how to get you with these one liners. I haven't been to Vegas yet, but "it's never too late". I think I will put it on my revised bucket list.Anyone want to come with me.My violin teacher is in Vegas. I have heard that everyone should go to Vegas at least once.
