ON THE BACK BURNER

How do people fill their days when they don't volunteer or have a job. I was just asking. I am slowly giving up my volunteer jobs and I am retired. So then what. Someone told me that they are continuing to work because"how much shopping can one do?". I was thinking in terms of just sitting, just reading, just knitting ,just thinking over my life. I can always fit shopping in. After all, Good Will is opened on Sunday's. I looked around and I don't have any role models of what to do when you just stop .Everyone I know is either working or are an active volunteer. I may be the first person to just become a professional sitter on the couch. How long can I do this. Will I have withdrawal feelings for not being a worker bee? I really enjoy being a worker bee. How about if I meet this issue half way. I will practice saying "NO" half the time and sit on the couch the other half. Great idea. I'll get up off the couch now.
