I've been busy the last few evenings during the time that I would be watching the national news. I ask Bob to give me a report. This , I try to think, will help him focus and then be able to tell in his own words what he remembered. He always says"It
was the same as last night." Which when I think about it, and I have stopped laughing, is probably true. First you hear a repeat of an event that catches your attention..a fire,a calamity . Then on to a few more like items. Finally, a feel good story to leave
you wanting to turn on the TV the next day for the network news. This works for me. I guess the news is the same as yesterday . I really want to watch because I like the routine of sitting down at 6:30 with Bob and knowing that good or bad news , people are
pretty much the same everywhere,some good , some not so good, weather is either hot or cold, wet or dry,rivers high or low,sport teams win or lose. When you notice, life is pretty predictable ,but its good to be in the game. Especially when the Cubs are winning.
