I shed a few tears last night while I listened to our President give his remarks. Some of what he said brought tears to my eyes , but mostly, it made me remember a dear friend who didn't win her battle and who loved politics and the Democratic Party.
How she would have been so involved in this election ! I also shed those tears because I remember a younger President who I voted for for Senator in Chicago. How his hair is now turning grey, how he handles himself in public and private life,how I was not
always happy with the business of politics , but Mostly I remember Lois.
