I am waiting for our afternoon rain. It's much different than the afternoon summer rains that we get in Florida. We have more beautiful clouds in Florida. Here there are thunderheads and black menacing clouds that spell danger. Yesterday we had a short
rain, a lot of thunder and some lightening strikes, followed by blue skies and a double rainbow. I tried to take a picture, but nothing gave justice to the beauty of that rainbow. Hopefully, everyone was off of the mountains when the lightening struck. We
are given plenty of warning about lightening, so we start our hikes early and are home in time for afternoon naps. Perfect timing.
