I went with Bob and sat in the waiting room while he had the MOHS procedure for a basil cell on his lip. It's better for me to not be in the procedure room. I have a history of not doing so well when a loved one is having anything done to them by a
doctor or dentist. Here is the story. When we lived in Evanston, and our youngest of four was in kindergarten he went with me to my appointment with our dentist. He had a loose tooth. Now remember I had three other kids who had lost teeth. The Dentist said
to my son,"You want me to pull your tooth?'. The tooth was just hanging on a membrane. So my son said "OK". Pull. Over. I passed out. The dentist had to call Bob to come and drive me home. Since then, I never accompany anyone in my family into a procedure
room. There's no one to dive me home.
