When it is grey outside, and I see the palm trees swaying, I am always surprised when I open the front door and I get slapped in the face by high humidity and heat. It seems like it should be cold. I don't know if my brain will ever get used to forgetting
about what cold weather looks like. It looks grey and windy. My body did adjust to being in a tropical environment, but my brain still is holding on to it's old ways. I have become a wimp in the winter , where I wear a jacket when the temperature drops to
70 and a wimp in summer by keeping the AC cranked up, 24 hours, round the clock. I understand that the whole country is having high heat indexes. Now , the good thing about living in Florida is that everything is air conditioned. Not always an option in the
mid West. Every now and then, I say a few kind words to my ancient air conditioning system,change the filters and put bleach in a special place that a handy man told me to. I want my AC to really like living in this condo. Nice AC, nice AC.
