As I was waiting for the shop where I was going to take a class to open, I watched real life drama. My shop was next door to an Emergency Veterinarian. I first watched a mini van pull up and the driver opened his hatch. There was a large dog on a blanket.
Two vet techs came out to meet the van with a stretcher. The three people moved the dog by hold and sliding the blanket that the dog was on. Here's the saddest part of what I was watching..the dog waged his big bushy tail. I wanted to run to the owner and
tell him that everything will be OK. Then , while I was still waiting. (I'm always early) several dogs came. One with a cast on his skinny leg, another had what we call "lamp shades" around his neck so he wouldn't lick his stitches. Then a guy came by carrying
a turtle that was the size of a serving platter. A pet is a pet, even if it is a turtle. Just before the shop that I Was waiting for opened, a red emergency vehicle, just like the the ones that people use when they call 911 pulled in , it was an animal emergency
vehicle. I have never seen one. I didn't know that there was even such a vehicle. Then my shop opened and I went in to take my class. I was a depressed , and it was only 10 o'clock.
