I am searching for a floor lamp. They are hard to come by at resale shops. Does this mean that I have to buy furniture retail ? I haven't done that since we moved here. We came here with very few pieces of furniture. We gave our kids the option of taking
anything that we had,except the silver ! I think we took four pieces of furniture. Our bed, a lamp table and 2 armoires. We had a fifth piece, a rocking chair from Bob's ancestral home in Great Neck. We have since given that to a Grandson. We also gave him
the silver. It's Ok, other Grandson's, I have more. But now, I have to replace the lamp table and lamp. The piece is at least 47 years old. I don't think that it was meant to last this long. It'll be a new experience ,buying a new piece of furniture. I'm much
more comfortable dumpster diving or going to resale shops. I'll be strong and not look at the price tag.
