ON THE BACK BURNER

It's happened. You know the song Cellophane Man, from the musical "Chicago", well, Bob and I have reached the invisible man stage of our lives. Here's the story. Bob had to use the bathroom at a department store. I walked him to the door and said quite clearly, "I will wait right here for you". I waited , and waited, played solitaire on my very smart phone, waited and waited. I was ready to break into the Men's room. Then I heard my name over the loud speaker. " Leona Uchitelle please come to the main entrance." Now I was in a true panic. Relief. There was Bob by the front door. Now here is the question, how did we not see each other. Do we know each other so well that we are invisible to each other. He came out the same door he went into and I was right where I said I would be. How did we miss each other. I'm still confused.
