I know that you will think that I am an indulgent dog parent, but I had to get into my car to eat one of my favorite snacks. I am very fond of Weight Watchers cheese sticks. I discovered them several years ago when I learned that I could get cheese
sticks to replace another treat that I like.. cheese curds. Not living near Wisconsin does have some disadvantages. Beer, Brats, the Harley Davidson factory, and cheese curds. Some might include the Green Bay Packers in this list, but I am loyal to da Bears.
Anyway, Cricket also likes my cheese sticks and up to now, I have shared with her. But I felt that the stick wasn't that big and I really wanted the whole thing. Cricket knows when I open the fridge, even if she is soundly sleeping and snoring . Then , when
I pull the wrapper down to eat it, she is right there. I make no noise when that wrapper is opened. And for all she knew, I could have been taking a lemon out of the fridge. How can dogs sense treats when in a deep sleep.? So, now, I take my cheese stick out
to the car, open it there and only feel mildly guilty about eating it and not sharing. Only mildly.
