ON THE BACK BURNER

I went to sleep and it was spring. I woke up and it was winter. And windy. Is this Florida.? Maybe tomorrow will be more typical and tropical. I had already put my warmer jacket await, and I am here to tell you, I was cold in my fleece jacket when I walked Cricket. I hope it is nicer for Easter. Some one reminded me that New York still has an Easter Parade. Everything moves so quickly now, that I forgot that people might want to still stroll down Fifth Avenue in an Easter Bonnet. Do they still have those high end stores on Fifth Avenue, or has it become like State Street in Chicago, with the Gap, and Payless Shoe store and Toys are Us. Typically, Easter Sunday was a rainy, cold day. At least, that is how I think of it. In Chicago , it wasn't unusual for Easter Sunday to be wet and even snow. I can remember little girls wearing their colorful Easter dresses and over them, their old, grungy ski jacket. Didn't seem to bother them and that Easter bunnies could jump snow drifts.
