I took Cricket for a very late walk tonight . The night sky was beautiful. The temperature perfect for a slow walk. I am always excited by the stars . I recognize a few of the more easily identified ones, like the dippers, Venus. I can't imagine using
stars to sail with. How do sailors do that. I can hardly tell which way is East or West. When I lived in the Chicago area, I knew my directions because Lake Michigan was always East, always. Then , when I lived in New Orleans, which is Crescent shaped, I never
had to knew my directions. You were either uptown or you were downtown,or across the river. Very confusing for a directionally challenged person.
