Do you ever wonder what to fix for dinner? If I ask my husband, he'll say,"meat". That does not help. I think that his answer is a generational answer. I can say inequitably, that he has never given any thought to what to have for dinner. I have dozens
of cook books, but I read them as non fiction , more than for actually cooking from them. Saying meat just doesn't help that much. Sometimes he will vary it and say steak and sometimes when he is really thoughtful, he'll say fried chicken. Usually, I don't
have either raw ingredients ready to cook. I like both of those items. For some reason, a steak tastes better in a restaurant. Fried chicken messes up the stove top, so I don't do that too often. My mother, who almost qualifies as a non cook, made really good
fried chicken. Her secret ingredient, Bisquick. We used Bisquick for three things. Biscuits, fried chicken coating, and , pancakes. It was all good. I just decided what to have for dinner. A trip to the grocery store for their freshly made sushi. Yum.
