You just don't realize how inconvenient life can be when your credit card is compromised. You are advised to contact the companies that you automatically have your services credited from. Some get by because you do it once a year and you forget who
they are. At least I did. Then a letter comes saying a very valuable service ,like Medic Alert, will terminate your service because your credit card was refuse. That was scary. It's a bother to have your card compromised. When I was a kid I could sometimes
hear a conversation from the kitchen. "She was compromised". I had no idea what they were talking about. I think it meant that a naive woman gave her affection to a guy and she was jilted. Now that same word is being used to say my credit card was taken by
some creep. The first time I heard that term about a credit card is when my card was "compromised "several years ago. I guess I'm lucky that it's been a long time between compromises. I wish they would use another word. I don't take it personally as long as
I don't have to pay for the charges. I wasn't compromised, my card was. But then again, I was taken advantage of. So maybe compromised is a good word here.
