ON THE BACK BURNER

I am making the most expensive pair of socks in Sarasota county. I wanted to learn how to do a special cuff that is beaded, and whose foot was knit in a lacy pattern. I know how to knit socks. I have made argyle socks, Booties, slipper socks and regular socks. But not beaded lacey socks. So, I signed up for a 3 hour class. That was $65. Then I had to buy the beads . That wasn't expensive. But the right yarn, that looked like the sample , was. So now, I am making the most expensive socks , ever. True to my way of working, I have ripped 4 times already. I am sure that tomorrow, I will just breeze through the casting on and working 2 rows. I can't believe that it is such a problem doing only 2 rows. I have to string 253 beads on the yarn. Then cast on 250 stitches , catching a bead in each stitch. Then I decrease 125 stitches on the first row and another 62 on the next row, a purl row. Clear ? Should be easy, but it seems that it isn't for me. Oh well, I think ripping is therapeutic.
