I took a month off from my violin. I had it restrung during that time and I bought a new bow. I gave my cracked finger tops a chance to heal. The orchestra that I am part of, starts again this week and I went back to my teacher for my weekly lesson.
Finally, after more years then I care to admit to, I have a feel for timing, flats, and.sharps . Amazing. I hope that this feeling is validated when I go for my first rehearsal of this new session. I recognize the names of the composers, too. That's a plus.
So far, their melodies are not swimming around in my head, but I hope that one day they do. Did you know that on You Tube, you can listen to almost all the popular composers. The theory is that at some point I should be able to play along with the video. Wouldn't
that be special.
