I don't normally give cooking advice, but I feel I owe it to my friends to tell you this. Do not cook your turkey in a crock pot. I thought it sounded like a good experiment. How bad could it be. And ,instead of pulled pork, I could always do a pulled
turkey. The first problem was that even though I thought that I had the largest crock pot sold, apparently, the turkey proved larger. I went into our tool box and found a saw. I attacked the turkey with the saw and it was not as simple as I thought it would
be. That was my second mistake. I only shaved a little of my little finger with the saw. My tetanus shot is still up to date, no problem. Now what do I do with the other half of the turkey. My freezer is overflowing. So now I have to cook the other half in
the oven. Then, the handle of my crock pot unattached from the lid. What's this all about ? I guess the turkey won this battle. Moral of this is --oven bake your turkey. That's the way the Pilgrims did it.
