I have three friends on a transplant list. That's a lot. Statistically, how many people know that many people waiting for a better quality of life. I don't think it hokey to say that I will pray for them. Or that I do think of them every day.
There is supposed to be real power in prayer. I ,and they, have to believe that. At our Rabbi's class this week we did talk about making deals with God."You give me what I am asking for and I will do so and so." I wonder if everyone does that. Maybe once in
awhile? I look for signs. I don't care where they come from. A cardinal is good. A blue jay is OK, but not as exciting as a rainbow or a cardinal. Anyway, I pray that my three friends get their transplants and have long and productive lives. Amen.
