We just watched "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". and it was still a classic. We thought we remembered the film, but except for the characters, we really didn't. Do they make pictures like this anymore? Watching the credits, which is what we do, except
for Jack Nicholson , no one seems to have gone on to greatness . The movie was upsetting. When I was doing a rotation in the psychic ward, my team mate was very pregnant. She never should have been on this floor. We went to check a patient who was in three
point restraints. That one unrestrained arm swung out and knocked my team mate across the room. I did not choose psychiatric as my speciality. I get upset over movies like this. I hope, but I am not optimistic , that things have change with mental health institutions.
I hope I am wrong on this one.
