I just finished reading a cook book which validated why I talk about the next meal, while i am eating the present meal. I'm from New Orleans. It's a new Orleans thing. We love food. So even though my mother came from Russia and my father supposedly
from Mississippi, which can be like a foreign country, I am a native , first generation,New Orleanian and I get my love of food from that fact. I have to admit that the first number on my cell phone speed dial is Commander's Restaurant in New Orleans. I haven't
been back in a few years, but that doesn't matter. It's still my epitome of what fine dining is. If you have six people and make reservations way in advance, you can have the honor of sitting in the kitchen. And eating.Maybe on my 85th birthday, I will treat
myself and 5 others to this treat. It'll be the equivalent of my children's inheritance, so maybe they will be the ones who go with me. I wonder if I can order a Kosher dish ?
