Do you know who Siskel and Ebert are? If you are of a certain age and from Chicago and like movies, you do know. They were movie critics for the local paper and for Network TV. Ebert won a Pulitzer. Very unusual to give a Pulitzer for a movie
critic. I watched a Documentary last night about Ebert. He had Cancer of the jaw, followed by complications and then, sadly, death. I was struck by how brave he was. He enjoyed life, even though he was disfigured, wheel chair bound, weak, no ability to talk,
but he could still type and he still had a sense of humor,he still had a voice, although not audible , he liked music, his family, and life. I wouldn't be so brave. I kid about saving a pill to help at the end when I think that my life has little or no quality.
Ebert worked so hard to have quality, even though he had so many obstacles. He had another thing that helped with his quality. A devoted , smart, strong wife .She was as brave as he was. You have to admire that in a care giver.
