ON THE BACK BURNER

The Rabbi said something tonight that made me think. I was born in 1934, just at the end of the Depression. I was a young girl during World War 2. I was a young bride during the Korean Conflict. I was older and wiser during Korea, Viet Nam,The war against Terrorist , Iran and Iraq. There is no peace in the Middle East. I've never been alive during Peace and neither have my children or now, my Grandchildren. That is a sobering thought. I'm not happy about it. It has become a fact of my life. Is this my norm. I wonder what it would be like to live in a peaceful world. Would I be different.  Would anyone want to join me in Peace.  Could I handle Peace. I understand that plowshares are in short supply.
