Would it be unacceptable of me to change my answering machine to say",please tell me why you are calling me. Do not just say ,hello Leona, call me." Would that be just too blunt and rude.? Many machines do say, "please leave a brief message,etc". Why
don't people just do that ? I like to know what I am about to get myself involved in. If I have a little clue, I can at least be slightly intelligent when I respond. I won't have to say, I'll call you back , because I have to look up what ever you need to
know from me. Actually, I don't get along well with my phone. The phone is not my friend. Even my new phone is starting to dislike me. I've decided that some people are phone people and some are email people. I know which side I'm on.
