ON THE BACK BURNER

Do I ever run out of things to think about? No. I do forget what thoughts I had, but I thought them and that counts. There are messages all around me. During my morning walk with Cricket, I passed a palm tree with some dead fronds on them. I stopped to pull them off and was reminded of snow bird friends who Cricket and I walk with when they are here. He is always pulling off dead fronds and commenting on what needs to be done in our community. I miss them. And their dog, Kookie. I thought about them for a while. Then I noticed two yellow butterflies, fluttering about. I'd seen them before. That made me think if seeing two yellow butterflies again was a sign that I was supposed to listen too. I haven't had a message yet, but I am open. Then I look up at the beautiful sky and I thought how can bad things happen when it is so beautiful here. I haven't received a message about this either, but I am listening. And thinking .
