I don't mind all of the afternoon rains we have been having. It 's fun, sorta. There is a certain camaraderie that exists when a bunch of strangers are standing under an awning waiting for the down pour to lessen , so we can run to our cars. I found
that I really won't melt when I get wet. I also found that all of us under the awning have something in common. Our umbrella's are in the car. It isn't snow, it isn't cold, so being wet isn't such a bad thing. I used to love to run in the rain. There is something
that identifies you as tough when other runners see you running in the rain. But then again, I ran when it was so cold that my eye lashes would freeze. The operative word here is "meshugana" crazy . Rain in Florida , in June , is like a warm bath. You get
wet but you are not refreshed.
