ON THE BACK BURNER

I had a really nice lunch today with a friend that I went to high school with and her husband ,who was stationed in Keesler Air Force Base with Bob. I haven't thought about or seen them in over 60 years. Who knew that we would all end up in Florida. Who knew that we would still be married to the same person. Who knew we would still be alive, all of these years later. Who knew I hadn't a clue who some of the girls were in the old photo's she brought to share. The names were familiar, but not the pictures in the year book. I don't think I even bought a Year Book. back in 1953. I graduated in June and got married in October. Year Books were not on my mind. I'm not sorry. I would have decluttered it , long ago. Only I would have called it not being sentimental.
