I am back to reading about body position and how to win people over. Do you know people who close their eyes for a few seconds or more,when they talk to you ? Now I am learning that this is meant as a barrier because that closed eyed person doesn't
want you to make him anxious or uncomfortable. I thought it was because he was being extremely thoughtful and was thinking ! This is another non verbal response that I am learning about. And now I also have to count eye blinks . 15 blinks a minute is normal.
My eyes are always blurry, so I may blink a lot to clear them. Please don't start counting. Crossed , folded arms is a whole chapter. You are in serious trouble if the person you are communicating with has their arms in that position. This is a bad, bad signal.
I'm surprised that we make any friends, if we have so much to think about that is non verbal. When does the talking start ? Even something as simple as a woman putting her purse on her lap is a clew that the party is over. I can't remember all of these signs
