I've just breezed through a book about doing myself over. I need to walk. That's the message. Walking 10000 steps is the secret to a healthy life. I am going to mention this to Cricket. If I can get her past the drive way, it is an auspicious start
of our day. I know why I don't get out and walk more (l have an excuse ready, just ask me _, but Cricket is a dog. She is by nature and DNA, supposed to want to go for a walk. The last of her snow bird buddies left yesterday. Maybe Cricket is depressed. But
then, she balks at going out even when her friends are here. I can get her to move when I act like an idiot and say in a high pitched voice "Cricket, there is your Buddy. Want to go see him/her?" She usually does go. An early morning walker has been putting
cat treats in her pocket to tempt Cricket to walk. She doesn't have a dog, but the cat treats work for Cricket. Cricket follows this person around our development for two tiny kibbles of cat food. Oh Cricket, how low you stoop. I wish some one would tempt
me with a treat so I would get out regularly and walk. Wait. My reading about habits should entice me to get up and go. My goal is feeling more fit, my habit is walking and my reward is feeling great. Just to think. I got all of this by just reading a book.
Wait until I actually move away from the computer and try it in real time.
