Is it OK to be a little jealous? Just a little. Someone that I know just came back from Europe,with her sister and girl cousins. I don't have a sister and I don't have even one girl cousin. The cousins (all male) that I do have are so old, who would
want to go to Europe with them. I'm the baby. Eight years between me and my late sister and maybe 15 or more years to the next cousin. That's a big gap. I never thought about there being no more girl cousins left. I only had one, Dorothy. And she is also gone.
She was the only person who ever called me "Lee". She had my absolute favorite second cousin, Alan. I adored that baby. I was about 10 when he was born and I was a great baby sitter. By the time his Dad came back from the Marines and the family grew to two
more boys, I was old enough to take on all three. I was paid $1 each hour I sat. That was my first paying job. I hope they have good memories of me. I sure do of them.
