I have two books that I can not unclutter. I don't read them anymore, but they give me that spark of joy, just having them. One is "A Woman of Independent Means". It was made into a movie, years ago. My Mother in law gave me the book . I don't think
that the book was suppose to effect me the way that it did. It is just fiction, but it hit a cord. I have always , since that time, had my own "slush" fund. I was a woman of independent means. That slush fund gave freedom. With no guilt what so ever. My slush
fund ran out years ago, but the independence stayed with me. Maybe I started reinventing myself when I first read that book. The second book that I will forever keep, is a book on how to clean everything. I know that now, I can go online and find all of the
answers, but this book has been with me through tarnished silver, rust stains, and melted candle wax. To get rid of it would be like getting rid of a family retainer. I still look to this book for answers. It's nice to know that I can clean tar from the bottom
of bare feet, or how to defrost a refrigerator. Do they still make refrigerators that need defrosting ?
