I never went to over night camp. I want to. I just saw an ad in the Forward (a Jewish paper), of a Jewish camp for Bubbe's (Grandma's) It says,"send a Bubbe to camp". I am thinking of sending it to my kids. They might come back with the fact that we
never took them to Disney, so why would they send me to camp, now. The ad says that I would have a great time. Swimming pool, friends, study groups, Spa facility (I may be making this last one up),meals, snacks, hair dryers.They don't mention the family coming
for Bubbe visiting day. Can you just see my grown kids coming to visit me at camp. If they bring goodies, do I have to share. I do not share food well. Never ask me for a bite from my plate. I just don't do that. I looked into it and the one thing it doesn't
tell is the cost. There is financial aid for deserving Bubbe's. Since I am carrying that mark of never taking my kids to Disney, I may not be deserving enough. It was a fun thought. I'll just visit each kid and let them deal with their children's Bubbe. It's
the least they can do.
