ON THE BACK BURNER

Every morning when I walk Cricket, I check the sky for colors. I don't want to paint the sky, I want fabric with that mix of colors and the way they are smeared across the sky. I don't wear particularly bright colors, and the sky that I see in the early morning is muted and calm. Just like me. ! The colors range from from a grey blue to grey white with a pale blue and some slight pink. It would make a beautiful fabric. If I could find fabric in these colors, I might start sewing again. It has been so many years since I sewed . I use to make the girls their dresses. I even made Bob pj's, until I realized that it took a lot of fabric and I could buy allmost new ones for $4.99 at Good Will. My machine is pretty smart,so I think I can depend on it to walk me through the steps of how to thread it and program the stitches. I've forgotten how to do that, it's been so long.

By the time Cricket and I are back from our walk, the morning walk has shifted into its day time colors. Brighter, sharper, definitely the way I want to be for the rest of the day.
