Dixie had a eight o'clock Vet appointment and I forgot how hard it is to get out of the house that early. How did
I do it when I worked? I don't have to worry about getting up early, I do that anyway. And as an extra precaution, I have a new wake ip service. At 6:09 three mornings a week, I get a robot call. I checked it out. It is from Sri Lanka. My grandson is coming
over to show me how to block calls. I like to sit quietly at 6 in the morning. I drink my coffee, Dixie is still asleep, I look out at nothing because it is so dark, but it is a special serene time . And the phone rings. I
try to remember to turn off the phone, but I usually forget. Dixie got what I call her passport. It's a piece of paper 8 inches by 12 inches, signed by a Vet who has some certificate from the USDA. What a racket. Since this was also Dixie's annual
physical, the Vet did a thorough examination of her eyes. Poor baby is more visually impaired than I thought. She is probably seeing shapes, light and darkness. I am not sure how she will do in Venice. There is
a lot for her to bump into. I couldn't wait for Thanksgiving , so I made a pumpkin pie with some of the pumpkin that I roasted and then froze. I gave hall away to my DiL and son. It was so good. I knew that I would keep eating it if it stayed in the house.
I'll have the rest for breakfast.I understand that pumpkin has vitamins and antioxidants. A great way to start a day.
