ON THE BACK BURNER

The wind in PT felt like a tornado. Things kept falling on my roof. At one point, I thought about calling my son,but on reconsidering, What could he do about falling objects on my tin roof. It wasn't until I went to charge my iPad and iPhone that I found out that I had no electricity. My  pod lights , fridge and furnace were running on propane ,I guess. The outlets must be electric. ? Since there was nothing I could do, we went to bed. I can't believe it, but Dixie and I slept like little bricks. My son went on my roof in the morning and everything was clear. Whatever was hitting the roof must have blown away. We went for a drive and the mess from the storm was very evident. Trees ,limbs, branches, power lines down. There was a city garbage truck with a snow plow on the front, removing  debris  from the streets. Police were at cross roads where there is usually a working traffic light. I guess you could call it irony, but the sky was a perfect blue, the sun was shinning and there was a gentle cold breeze. What a difference a day makes. Is that a song title?
