Finally, here in PT , we are having the summer weather that I have been waiting for. It is almost worth the wait for these beautiful days of sunshine and perfect breezes. I had a dinner tonight that was worthy of 5 stars.
Thick, juicy tomato, salted , on home made bread, slathered in mayo. My mouth waters just remembering it. Corn and tomatoes are the only two veggies that I can make an entire meal of. And since the corn here is not that great, it's
tomatoes ,or nothing. Another thing that is abundant here is blackberries. As I walk Dixie, I pick and eat berries . It's not unusual to see a car parked near a bush and the driver just picking along side of the car. At Sunday Family meal, my grandsons girl
friend, who is queen of pie crusts, made a blackberry pie. I took an extra slice to eat after dinner, but I couldn't hold out and I ate it that afternoon. Now I have a real hunger for another piece. I wonder if she reads this post ?
