I thought that I should try out the pants that I will wear on my 4 day train trip. They had to be dark ,in case I spilled my coffee on them, they shouldn't wrinkle too
much and they should be comfortable for sitting . I have several pair of camping pants. They are dark, washable, light weight, don't wrinkle. I didn't remember that I can hear them swishing when I walk.
That's a definite no, as far as wearing them on the train. On the other hand, the train is noisy, so no one would hear me walking to the observation car or the cafe. I'll reconsider wearing these particular pants
for my trip. i'd wear sweat pants, on the train, except I will be staying at a high end hotel in LA and a modest Inn when I get back to Seattle. I'm more concerned about how I will look in these two over night stops then what I will look like on the train.
No one will know me at either place, or on the train, but I believe in dressing for the occasion.Maybe I should take along a conductors hat that I picked up at a yard sale. I always knew there would be
the right time to wear it.
